The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $393 million with a cash option of $181.5 million.
The winning numbers were: 8, 17, 40, 60 and 70. The Mega Ball drawn was 3 with a Megaplier of 2x.
While no one across the country hit Tuesday’s $363 million jackpot, a pair of second-prize tickets matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball were sold. A ticket bought in Pittsburgh is worth $3 million because it was purchased with the Megaplier for an extra $1, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery. A Florida ticket is valued at $1 million.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 13, 19, 43, 62 and 64. The Mega Ball drawn was 6 with a Megaplier of 3x.
The odds of a $2 ticket winning the Mega Millions jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1.
Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize valued of at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $77 million with a cash option of $36 million.
