Bought a 18 carat schnauzer pendant and chain, from siberian art, the bail link has broken after being worn once, this item was not cheap, tried complaining to siberian art twice no reply , even to the message sent regarding the 18 carat gold chain being knotted on arrival not impressed

Wish I'd checked the reviews before I tried to open a shop! Etsy is an unbelievably unhelpful and difficult site to navigate. Easy to be scammed as I was. Not easy to get helpful replies from them. They are very quick to take money out your bank for opening a shop, for VAT (despite saying I know I don't need to pay it as I've checked with HMRC) . Not easy to get listings done and everything is subject to their approval. I still don't know exactly why my account is suspended. I finally got into my account and permanently deleted it after paying what they STILL say I owe them!! Worst site ever!! I cannot recommend them and will never use them again

ETSY refusing to refund for a faulty/damaged and not fit for purpose wind chime. Paid £23 they refuse to honour thier purchase policy of a full refund. They refuse to budge from the offer of a £7 refund and state that I cannot lose out on this offer as I could give (insult) it to my friends . They have insisted they have gone through all the channels available to them to honour the refund.
DONT BUY OR TRUST ETSY.

I want buyers to be aware of Etsy sellers who are scammers, particularly in the spiritual reading category. Why doesn't Etsy enforce stricter rules if there are scammers claiming to be psychic, especially in this category? It seems Etsy only cares about making a profit!

Do not sell with these I had a shop with them and they suspended it with no reason when I appealed it that’s meant to take two weeks within hours they sent me a message telling me it’s still suspended and no reason why I’ve asked others and they got the same email word for word but they happily took the £11 set up fee but didn’t offer a refund for that but have told me I can still buy stuff from Etsy I have nothing on my selling that broke there policy and will not use Etsy again I would avoid wasting you time I’m using my own website and other places to advertise. There lack of proper communication is shocking and reason is a joke with no specific reason don’t waste you time or money

When I set up my shop I was Inundated with messages from scammers pretending to be etsy and etsy won't (or as they claim can't do anything about it)
As soon as your shop starts doing well they suspend it with no explanation as to why. They supposedly carefully consider your appeal which takes them about 10 mins to then say they can't do anything about it so you're banned forever and they keep your money

AVOID AT ALL COST. Has a function that doesn't let you contact the seller. Does not provide tracking details. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A SCAM. If you have a problem with your order customer service don't deal with it properly, close the case. Lie and fob you on to other companies when they are at fault. I asked for the customer service advisor to re-open my complaint or open a new one. He refused and then lied he were going ti pass my complaint on to another department and provide me a confirmation email. Disgusting! Very shocked especially with how well known the company is.

All the below reviews are true, scammers galore. They allow people to receive messages on their platform from scammers, they don’t care and probably even encourage it. My account is now deleted DO NOT USE! I have spent so long cancelling bank cards, I’m now without funds because of these selfish b*stards. I hope they go bust

Had an issue with not receiving an item from a seller ETSY stepped in and refund issued in minutes, ETSY did well however please will someone see sence and stop using EVRI as this is the 4th occasion they have failed I will never order anything if I know they are used pure morons.

be aware when opening a seller account on Etsy. You will do much better using other options, platforms or your own eccomerce stores. They give you for example an option to report the buyer's review as rude and offensive. Yet they never remove these offensive reviews claiming that they are under Consumer Review Fairness Act . 1) firstly this Act does not prohibit them from removing these offensive reviews 2) secondly, what a ridiculous way to provide the option and then saying that you cannot use this option !

Setup my first store. I was sure not to violate any policies but they locked my account and they keep saying I did however they don't explain what I did so I can cooperate with them to fix. I am new to ecommerce and this was my first store but already a bad experience as a first time store owner thanks to Etsy. Customer service is ridiculous absolutely clueless. I wish them nothing but to go bankrupt! I read many reviews both buyer and seller side and I haven't seen 1 positive review.

I'd heard the horror stories and naively thought it wouldn't happen to me.
Was thrilled about my shop gaining traction. Even got emails saying, and I quote, "what you're doing is amazing!!!"
Not 4 hours later they permanently ban my shop for eternity after I changed my shop banner. Thats the only change I'd made ever and got an instant ban.
Of course I appealed it and got a clearly automated response response they'd done a "comprehensive check" and have decided their decision is in fact permanent. Like if they'd done a comprehensive check they'd see I got flagged for no reason or take that complaint into account and chat it out. Nope. Clearly a robot who just bans people.
Then I tried making a new shop and they happpppppppppily took my $20 set-up fee and immediately suspended that account too.
A clear scam.

The worst platform for sellers. They suspend your account without giving you any explanation - just copy and paste messages. Etsy will block your money for 6 months. Very bad exparience - don't sell with them!

Absolute thieves suspended an account overnight that was In Good order because they changed the listing policy and gave no warning, I have had the account for over 2 years they then locked the cash that was waiting to be paid out which was £250 for 180 days, I tried to set up a new account which they now charge £11 for then shut it down immediately taking my £11 with it,do yourself a favor and sell elsewhere

They suspended my account for no apparent reason and charged my card over $600 which I had to dispute in a panic because I never authorized anything like that. Then months later they decided to randomly reopen my account (which at this point I didn't want) and began trying to charge my card for products that I had made and had been trying to sell prior to them closing my account. I don't want the account and I don't appreciate them trying to charge my card!! I've sent them emails telling them j want my account closed permanently (because they won't let me sign in and do it myself). These people are sneaky thieves and you should NOT use their platform to buy or sell.

I purchased a charm from Don Ricke. It was too big. Not only could I not return it he also left a very rude and indignant remark. When I responded his remarks escalated and became worse. All other sellers have been kind and helpful. This is no way to do business. To which I was told he didn’t want my business anyway. Ok. Done.

Well turns out Etsy is yet another soul less piece of scam app that does more harm than good..
I have 4 orders from different sellers that never arrived and instead of offering support they disabled my account without offering any explanation.
They won't reply to messages on their website, app, facebook, instagram or anywhere I could find..

I can see this review will do nothing for me but I will add my voice. I've been selling with Etsy for a while. A recent purchase from a customer arrived broken. I contacted Etsy and spoke to someone who assured me the customer would be refunded from my account. I was then to contact Etsy again who would give me a refund. This was obviously a lie to get rid of me. Etsy are now not responding to my messages anymore. Extremely poor customer service. Can I give -5*? I wish I could.
