 it was morning, the sun light poured through the curtains of your window. you turned the opposite direction of the light to avoid it. you could hear a lot of movement in the manor and that is when it hit you. tonight was an important night there where was going to be a meeting a very important one. you jumped out of your bed and started to get ready. "crap diluc is gonna have my head" you thought as you pulled on you socks and then your shoes/boot's. you did your hair and you flung your door open and made your way down stairs to help. when you got to the downstairs there was a bunch of people lift and moving stuff. you headed to the kitchen and started helping out the chiefs and maid's. as you went out to go get a crate of vegetables you herd your name. "(y/n)? what are you doing" said a stern yet soft voice it made you jump in surprise. "d-diluc!?" you stuttered "i was just helping out around for tonight's party and meeting"  diluc sighed at my response bringing his hand to his head. "Give me that" he snatched the crate from you "Smithers could you please bring this to the kitchen for the chief" diluc said handing the crate off. "Of course young master" the servant took the crate and make his way to the kitchen. "Me you breakfast now" diluc said walking towards the exit door of the manor. "Hold up I'm coming" you ran after him. Once you caught up there was a carriage waiting . When you two step in there was silence but diluc broke it with small talk. "How'd you see sleep?" He asked looking out the window 
"Pretty good actually I was almost lat..e...I SLEPT FINE" you quickly covered up your mistake 
"How did you sleep?" You asked softly yet concerned
Diluc looked at you with bored eyes. his head was leaning against the window. "I guess I slept okay" he said looking back at out the window. "You should really rest more you do to much already with your free time anyway" diluc rolled his eyes knowing what you meant by his "free time".  "I know how to handle myself" was all he said "where would you like to eat today" he asked changing the subject "can't we just go to the tavern?" You claim but the second you finished that sentence diluc responded with a quick solid "no"  
"What? Why not? You love the tavern!" 
"We always do the tavern let's do something different today plus at the tavern you get away with eating for free how am I supposed to make anything with you taking all the resources." He said crossing his arms 
"HEYYYYY" you whinnied. diluc looked at you with a bored expression as you pouted at his comment. "you pick a place then" you said straightening yourself on your seat. 
"oh wait actually lets have breakfast at the doc" you said cheerfully "okay" diluc said with with a smile barely visible.
you and diluc walked into the city and eventually ran into kaeya. 
"morning kaeya!" you waved cheerfully happy to see him. 
"ah good morning to you as well (y/n)" kaeya smiled. dilcu just stared almost miserably. "diluc" kaeya acknowledged diluc's presence  "kaeya" diluc muttered "what are you two up to in the city this morning" kaeya asked smugly  "we are on our way to get breakfast" you smiled 
"ah could i join" kaeya bent down to your level ' i don't see why no-"
"no" you got cut off by diluc and he grabbed your wrist and pulled you away. 
"rude much" you say yanking your hand away "i'm always rude" diluc spat back you rolled you eyes and he sighed. 
"cant i just have you to myself" he let out a sigh and crossed his arms.
 "i-i " you started but quickly got cut off again 
" i just want to spend time together that is not work and fighting monsters".
here's the thing you and diluc were not friends but also are not lovers, it was somewhere in between.you both knew that you cared for one another deeply but its complicated when it comes to communicating over a relationship. you both got to the doc and there was a table already set up with two chairs. once the both of you finished eating, you guys stayed to admire the view. " i really love it  here its so peaceful and calm" you relaxed taking in the view. you looked up at diluc who was right next to you looking up at the sky. you figured that he was thinking about work. "should we head back to the manor" you questioned looking back at him. "no the workers have it covered" diluc say's bringing his finger to his chin.  "is everything okay diluc?" you ask concerned bring a hand to his shoulder. put his other gloved hand over the hand on your shoulder which left you a little flustered. he let out a small soft smile "yea i'm good i just really appreciate our time together" diluc admits calmly.
"Me to" You positioned yourself standing in front of him taking his hands into yours.
" thank you for breakfast" you say quietly leaning into his chest.
"It was nothing" diluc rests his chin on your head 
The both of you spent the day hanging out in the city and with friends and then headed your way back to the manor to finish preparing for the party.
Time skip to the party:
" esteemed guests and friends! I welcome you to my humble Adobe" diluc spoke to the guest he was about to continue his speech but some cut in.
" it's been a while young master diluc I'm impressed with the party" You turned your head to who just spoke it was Krupp. You glared daggers at him for interrupting at such an inappropriate time. Krupp was with a male who was wearing a mask. 
" I have business with your seneschal bring him to me now" said the male you started making your way over to the commotion diluc stepped in front of you. You were furious at this point that these two had the nerve to speak out of turn and worse making demands without even introducing themselves. 
"Master Krupp I believe I haven't been introduced to your honored guess" diluc says with his arms crossed 
"Ah this here is master il Dotorre he is one of the eleven and champion who defeated ursa the Drake" Krupp spoke proudly . Just hearing him talk made your blood boil. 
"Ursa the drake huh" you spoke looking Kurt dead in the eyes he seemed bothered by the fact that you question him, So was Dotorre.
"Ahhh you must be the one who attends to the young masters needs and desires. I bet you please him well like a good servant should." Krupp grinned at you. Your eyes widened and you were about ready to kill on spot.
" please don't speak ill of the people in this manor or I'll have to ask you to leave" diluc said staring at Krupp.
" I meant no harm I thought she was one of your workers" Krupp said sheepishly and some what embarrassed. You sighed and relaxed your shoulders and mentally thanking diluc for intervening.
After the party :
"Finally everyone's gone" diluc sighed 
"I think you should get so sleep knowing you, you'll probably have a busy day tomorrow" you say putting away a few things.
" I guess I'll head to my room now... hope I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight" He waved to him while he was leaning against the wall while you turned to walk to your room but some thing pulled you back into an embrace.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry I let him speak to you that way" diluc says hugging you gently.
"Ummm no don't be sorry you stayed professional... I should apologize I almost caused a scene and you prevented that." You look up to make eye contact and he lets you go.
*darn 
"Sorry for that I don't know what I was thinking" diluc says looking away from you.
" it's okay I liked it" you say quietly looking down at the floor.
" I guess it is getting a bit late you should get some sleep too" diluc continued 
"Ok but can we do that again"  embarrassed you mentally face palm. Diluc was taken a bit off guard but complied. You jump back into his arms and hug him back. The both of you stood there like that for a good minute which felt like forever. 
"I'll see you in the morning" diluc said quietly in your ear.
"Ok" you whispered back and let go of him and made your way to your sleeping quarters. You put on a nightgown that was provided for you and you went to bed with none other diluc on your mind.

So I do take request but I do have hard time writing for characters I don't really care for. I can try it just won't be as good
