We are excited to welcome your children back to school on Thursday, September 7th and would like to share some information with you. 

Our school hours are 8:00 AM – 2:20 PM.  Doors will open at 7:58 AM for grades 1- 5. Kindergarten doors will open at 7:50 am. For those who would like breakfast, the doors will open at 7:40 AM.

Please note Kindergarten students will meet in the playground for arrival on Thursday and Friday, September 7th & 8th. 

Arrival Procedures 

Pre - K  (8:00 AM) -  Will enter through exit 10 on Bay 23rd street, near the dumpsters.

Kindergarten - Kindergarten will line up in the playground adjacent to the school. Teachers will meet the students in the playground and escort them into the building. Beginning on Monday, September 11th they will enter through the courtyard entrance.

Grades 1 & 2 - Will enter through the door on Benson Ave. closest to Bay 23rd Street. The 1st grade line will start at the door and form a line  towards Bay 22nd Street.  The 2nd grade line will start at the door and form a line towards Bay 23rd street. As they enter the building they will make a right into the playroom and use the 2nd door from the left (Staircase B). 

Grades 3, 4 & 5 - Line up on Bay 22nd street using the side door. The line for 4th & 5th grade will start at the door and form towards Bath Ave. Third grade students will line up towards Benson Avenue.

Dismissal Procedures

Pre-K  (2:10 PM) - Students will be dismissed at the main entrance. Please follow the directions for Thursday and Friday that you received in your email.

Kindergarten (2:10 PM) - Students will be dismissed in the playground. 

Grade 1- Students will be dismissed in the playground.  

Grade 2 - Students will be dismissed through the door on Benson Ave, closest to Bay 23rd Street.  

Grade 3 - Students will be dismissed on Bay 23rd street.

Grade 4 - Students will be dismissed through the Bay 22nd Street exit (main auditorium door) and will proceed to line up towards Benson Ave. 

Grade 5 - Students will be dismissed through the Bay 22nd Street exit (main auditorium door) and will proceed to line up towards the courtyard. Classes 5-419 and 5-417 will dismiss on Benson Avenue from the Main Doors.

Breakfast - Hot breakfast will be available at 7:40 AM in the cafeteria. Students may enter through the entrance off Bay 23rd facing the courtyard.  

Lunch will be periods 4, 5 & 6. Hot lunch will be available. You can see the menu on the DOE's website.  Students can bring their own lunch if they would like. Kindergarten students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack for the afternoon.
