The newest version of 7 Little Words is a winner! I've replaced my original App with this newest version. Love it already. From solving puzzles of 4, 5, 6 or 7 words it gives a solver just the perfect puzzle option for the time reserved for a game. A great upgraded effort! My only issue on this new update is Happy Face logo on the Daily Puzzle image has its face completely blacked out on my oldest cellphone. It's an older Android phone but I can still play the game on it.

Not happy with the new layout because I am locked out of being able to go back and see the words and clues to be able to learn. Previously I could see the last 15 completed puzzles plus the 10 daily 5 little words puzzles with the clues so that any that were particularly interesting, I could share with my husband later or look up more about them. This new UI just rushes me along and closes the puzzle immediately upon completion. Very annoying!

I downloaded this to test it as I have played the old seven little words for many years, I feel it has regressed. Daily puzzles are part of my routine and I love the current format on the old game. Having an open ended approach doesn't suit me at all. I do like the idea of the stats and if that was incorporated into the old game with a quartile ranking for daily puzzles I think that would be good. not sure I would continue to play the new version as it just doesn't do it for me.
