She was predeceased by : her parents, Ramsey Hughes and Clarke Hughes; and her brother Vernon Hughes (Buck). She is survived by : her siblings, Willie Hughes, John Hughes and Sylvia Noland; her nephews, Chris Noland, Jim Noland, Matt Hughes, Mark Hughes and Tim Hughes; and her niece Heather Hughes Adams.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fisher-Riles Funeral Home (5000 Indiana Ave, Vicksburg, MS 39180). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (326 Lovers Ln, Vicksburg, MS 39183).
